RETOLD Project

RETOLD is a documentation system developed specifically for archaeological and ethnographic open-air museums. In open-air museums, collections often do not consist of portable physical objects: Buildings and practical craft skills are central to the museum. RETOLD is designed to provide a structure for collecting digital material in a way that makes sense in the context of open-air museums. Museum curators, staff and volunteers can digitise and structure material, document their building collections and share the material with other museums and audiences.
