EAC14 Program

The academic program of presentations will take place between 12th-14th May 2025. The sessions will be split into several themes.

The finalised program will be shared here shortly.

Excursions

There will be optional excursions on the 15th and 16th May for a maximum of 30 participants. Places on the excursions will be given on a first come, first served basis. Anyone who wishes to join an excursion should email info@exarc.net before April 14th with their full name and passport / CPF number in order to reserve a spot.

Excursion Day 1: Participants will be driven out to an ecological park in the countryside, where they will visit a rock shelter with rock art. This site is associated with nomad hunter-gatherer groups from the Early Holocene. There are waterfalls that people can enjoy even for a little swimming.

Excursion Day 2: Participants will be driven to the coast, where we they visit the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology in Paranaguá city, as well as some shellmounds associated with the Sambaqui Culture from the Middle and Late Holocene..

The cost of the excursion is R$ 35,00, to be paid in cash at the start of the conference during registration.

Discord

Attending the #EAC14 Conference online is free and open access to all. It will be live streamed on YouTube via EXARCs official channel. Here you can follow each session, and ask questions in our Q&A. Speakers will be present to answer a number of these questions. Besides that, we have a free and open access platform, Discord. Here you can interact with one another in thematic text and audio channels.
