Bio
With a foundation in archaeology and a specialization in archaeological textiles, I dedicate my work as an independent researcher to the practice-based exploration of historic textile traditions. My research has primarily concentrated on the Iron Age, yet I have recently expanded my studies to include textile evidence spanning from the Paleolithic to the Bronze Age.
As an active member of a Viking Living History group, I engage in demonstrations that encompass the entire textile creation process. Using reproduction tools, I illustrate the transformation of raw fiber into finished cloth. These demonstrations provide audiences with insights into the skills and techniques employed in ancient times.
Through these efforts, I strive to bridge the gap between past and present, offering tangible experiences that enhance contemporary understanding of ancient textile practices and encouraging a deeper appreciation for historic textile traditions.
