I may not be an academic in the normal sense of the word, but I am a researcher. Today my interest in historical jewelry manufacturing processes inspires my design work as a jeweler to create a fusion of historical and modern jewelry designs. As a working jeweler, knowledge of historical jewelry manufacturing processes has made me a better jeweler. I have spent many hundreds of hours making and using the tools that would have been used by jewelers of the past so I can experience how they worked.
