Bio

Archaeologist and historical textile researcher specialising in early medieval Eastern and Northern Europe, particularly the cultural and material interactions between Scandinavia and the Slavic world. My work combines academic research with experimental archaeology and practical textile reconstruction, focusing on weaving, tablet-weaving, sprang, natural dyeing, and historical clothing.

Founder of the "Agafia of Novgorod" project, through which I recreate and interpret early medieval textile technologies based on archaeological and written sources. I collaborate with reenactment groups and museums, run educational workshops, and present research at academic conferences.

Current MA student at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (Lublin), preparing a thesis on early medieval Scandinavian-Rus cultural contact with a focus on textile finds from key burial sites.
