Bio
I am a professional archaeologist with over 15 years of experience in the museum sector and as a self-employed freelance archaeologist. In 2012, I was awarded a PhD in Archaeology by the University of Latvia for my dissertation on weapon archaeology in the Eastern Baltic region. I currently hold part-time lecturing positions at both the University of Latvia and the Art Academy of Latvia. My research interests include experimental archaeology, with particular emphasis on flint knapping and bronze casting. Since 2013, I have been organising the Baltic Experimental Archaeology Summer School and leading the Latvian society Latvijas Arheoklubs.
